Brandon Rivera

Brandon Rivera is a Chicago based actor, born and raised in Logan Square. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana, Champaign to pursue a BFA in Acting.

In 2015, the summer before his senior year of undergrad, Brandon made his professional theatre debut in Steep Theatre’s critically acclaimed production of Brilliant Adventures. He fell in love with Steep that summer; their tenacity, their bravery, their commitment to fostering community before and after shows. He knew he found home in Steep. And in 2018, Steep put a ring on it and made Brandon an ensemble member.

In addition to Brilliant Adventures, Brandon has appeared in Steep’s productions of Zürich, Pomona, The Leopard Play (or sad songs for lost boys), Ironbound (cancelled 2020), and Light Falls.

Outside of Steep, Brandon has had the immense pleasure of working with Chicago companies such as Pivot Arts, 16th Street Theater, Adventure Stage Chicago, Red Tape Theatre, The House Theatre of Chicago, Goodman Theatre, and Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Regionally, he’s gotten the chance to work with Cape Fear Regional Theatre, Cara Mía Theatre, Teatro Vivo, and Penobscot Theatre Company.

Brandon is a proud member of Actors Equity Association. And proud to call Steep home.
