Summary: Clinging to each other in their loneliness and alienation, George and his simple-minded friend Lennie dream of a place to call their own. But after they come to work on a ranch in the Salinas Valley their hopes, like "the best laid schemes o' mice an' men," begin to go awry.

Recommended!
"The five year old storefront has created an engaging, measured translation of Steinbeck's Depression era drama. ...the symbolism of the expendability of human life on the edges of society is simple and the reality of this is simply and powerfully played."
