About Steep Theatre

Alex Gillmor

Alex Gillmor is a founding member of Steep Theatre Company. After taking an acting class or two, Alex was introduced to Peter Moore and Alex Gualino by a mutual friend, Sergi Bosch. Presented with the prospect of putting up a play with them, Alex jumped at the opportunity. After a failure or two, the trio hired a director and Steep was born. Steep's first production, Life During Wartime, played for sold out houses night after night. Riding the wave fueled by the play's success and the fun they shared on and off stage while producing the show, the three friends then decided to continue working together.

Since that time, Alex has appeared in 19 of Steep's shows. While his favorite roles include James in Book of Days, Ziggy in The Time Trial, Eddie Dawson in Greensboro a Requiem, and Charlie Terrific in Breathing Corpses, Alex's most cherished role was Muggsy in Dealer's Choice, where he was fortunate to play a character not too unlike himself.

Seven years after its first run, Steep has endured and the company is now on the verge of a new era. Of course, Steep would not be what it is today without the dedication and hard work of many people. Thank you to the Steep audience, you have given Steep its voice and a reason to produce. Thank you to Steep's Board Members. All of your hard work has pushed Steep to new levels of professionalism and success. Most of all, Alex would like to extend thanks to his beautiful family, daughters Greta and Lili and wife Anna, for their love and tolerance.
